India hosts Iran movie

Iranian film ‘Midday Adventures’ has been screened at the Guwahati International Film Festival in India.

Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, the movie was screened at the World Cinema section of the second edition of the event.

Produced by Seyyed Mahmoud Razavi and co-written by Hossein Torab-Nezhad and Ebrahim Amini, the sequel will be made in political genre.

‘Midday Adventures’, a political drama that portrays the terrorist atrocities of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iran during the 1980s, was crowned best at the 35th Fajr Film Festival in 2017.

It also bagged 4 other Simorgh awards, namely the Audience Favorite Film, Best Scenic Designer, Best Costume Designer and Best Film with National View at the event.

Launched in 2017, the Guwahati International Film Festival hosts total of 72 films from more than 30 countries in various sections.

The second edition of the event was held on October 25-31, 2018.
